. HISTORY . Born in the late 900's in Marseille, France he grew up as friends with the children of the Count de Martel's, Aurora and Tristan. He was madly in love with Aurora from the moment he understood what love was. Unfortunately class and status got in the way, as Lucien's father was executed due to a debt he was unable to pay. Lucien was forced to carry this debt and be a personal servant to the de Martel family. Nothing else is known about the time between his father's execution and the arrival of the Mikaelsons.. THE TURNING POINT . Lucien was escorting guests for his lord, the Count de Martel back to the palace when they were attacked by an unknown group of predators. Lucien hid under the cart blanket in an effort to hide and save his life. He was unaware of the special abilities of the attackers, and they quickly spotted him. He managed to convince the Mikaelsons to save his life, and in exchange he would disguise them as the guests who were supposed to arrive at the castle.Lucien helped them to fit in, and introduced them to the customs and members of the household. This included the Lord Tristan de Martel, and his younger sister the Lady Aurora de Martel. Lucien had been in love with her for ages and knew that Klaus was also interested in her immediately.
Lucien eventually asked Klaus to give Aurora a letter declaring his affections for her. Lucien found Klaus and Aurora in a hallway and confronted them. This caused a commotion the guards heard, and Aurora was meant to be praying. Tristan found Lucien next to his sister, and his life was forever changed.. THE LIVING NIGHTMARE . Tristan had Lucien brought to the dungeons, torturing him with a whip for hours. Klaus and Elijah eventually found them and attempted to negotiate for his freedom. Tristan would not listen, and Klaus quickly threatened him. Elijah convienced Klaus to let Tristan go. Tristan then sliced Lucien from cheek to cheek before walking away.Lucien attempted to attack Klaus after everything. Klaus' blood mixed with Lucien's, causing him to heal. Lucien believed he was a vampire and went to attack Tristan, leading to his temporary death. Klaus then taught him to be a vampire when it was discovered he had actually turned.Elijah then compelled Lucien, Tristan, and Aurora to be the Mikaelsons and run from Mikael. They ran as the Mikaelsons for the next century. The three swore revenge when the compulsion broke, leading us to today.

Lucien moved to New Orleans to warn his old friend Nik of the war between the sirelines, while secretly plotting to take over New Orleans. Then he met Lizzy Mikaelson, Klaus' adopted daughter and quickly took her in as an adopted daughter. His plans are now off the table, and his focus is on being a good father to Lizzy...and possibly winning Klaus' hand.. FAIRY TALE NIGHTMARES .

Lucien is currently pursuing Aurora's hand and ignoring her brother and his protests. He's dealing with Tristan's overprotective nature and his pest of a witch Juliette. He's trying to navigate immortality and win the hand of the fair maiden, who hasn't expressed interest in a thousand years.. DEVIL'S ADVOCATE .

Lucien heard about the newest Mikaelson sister and decided that since he had met the other Mikaelson siblings, he should be respectful and meet this one. When he first met Freya he fell in love and now he intends for her to love him back...and keep her family at bay
